Every time a street crosses another street, there is a crosswalk. There is not necessarily any paint or other marking to indicate the bounds of the crosswalk. But marked or not, it is still a crosswalk. 

 

And at these crosswalks, people walking have the right of way. There are rare instances when this is not true, but in these it would be signed to let you know that pedestrian crosses are expressly prohibited.

Maybe unmarked crosswalk deserve a little attention.
